In 2001 along with their writing partner Cathy Dennis, Julian & Barry wrote and produced the 'American Idol' theme music. Written for the original incarnation of the show "Pop Idol" which ran for 2 seasons in the UK, the theme has been used for 20 seasons in America and throughout all Idol franchises worldwide.
